Valve’s Steam for Linux in Development

After announcing their Mac OS X Steam client, as mentioned in my previous article, Valve has once again begun development of Steam for the Linux operating system. They have announced that they will port some of their games to Mac OS X next Wednesday.

According to Phoronix, the first indication they have found that tells us that the Linux Steam client is a work in progress is a bash script used to execute Steam on Linux including a text file on Steam’s servers and mentions of Linux in the Steam executable.
